Zhuo Lu
Doctor of Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Dr. Lu Zhuo earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from Northeast Agricultural University in China in 2002 and his PhD in Developmental Biology from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. He has published over a dozen scientific articles, including groundbreaking research published in Nature. This study was reported by numerous media outlets and was named one of Time magazine’s top ten medical breakthroughs of 2009.
He served as Deputy Laboratory Director at a prestigious fertility clinic in the United States for 15 years. He has over 20 years of experience in micromanipulation technology. He developed and improved nuclear transfer technology and achieved significant advancements in mitochondrial replacement therapy (MRT). He is also a Certified Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD, ABB) in the United States.
Dr. Zhuo Lu conducts research on the development and improvement of nuclear transfer techniques. Thanks to their efforts, the NHFC research team achieved a significant breakthrough in mitochondrial replacement therapy (MRT).

With 19 years of experience, Dr. Nottola specializes in gynecology and assisted reproduction, and is here to help many families achieve their dream of parenthood.

Rafael Tarazona
Gynecologist
Master’s degree in Epidemiology from the University of the Andean Area. Specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics from the Nueva Granada Military University, with advanced studies in Assisted Reproduction and Clinical Embryology at the University of Valencia, Spain; Gynecological Endocrinology at the University of Antioquia; and Obstetric Ultrasound at the Juan N. Corpas Foundation.
Erika Cortes
Embryologist
Master’s degree in Human Reproduction from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and certified embryologist by RED LARA (Latin American Network of Assisted Reproduction). She is also a microbiologist, having graduated from Colegio Mayor de Cundinamarca, with extensive experience in in vitro fertilization procedures, intracytoplasmic sperm injection, embryo culture, and cryopreservation techniques.
She has experience working with various multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the success of numerous fertility treatments, and is known for her skill in handling advanced technology and her commitment to ethics and quality in assisted reproduction.
